When Gerald first moved to Harvey Street, he formed a close bond with Lotta.
Harveyween/New Kid on the Block
In the second episode, Gerald moves to Harvey Street from Austland. Lotta and the Harvey Girls are the first to welcome him. Lotta does the Austland handshake with him, where she is mesmerized by him. When Gerald is feeling home sick, Lotta volunteers to show him everything great about Harvey Street, Gerald compares everything they show him to Austland. To make him feel less home sick, Lotta goes along with changing everything to make it feel like Austland. The last straw is when Gerald wants the Aurora Harvealis gone, this causes Lotta and the Harvey Girls to show Gerald that Harvey Street is great just the way it is. When everyone is dancing, Lotta invites Gerald to dance with her, which he happily accepts.

In the first episode, when everyone finds out that camp was cancelled and the Harvey Girls' decide to make their own camp, one of the camps is a music camp for Gerald. He performs a show and practices stage diving and land in Lotta's arms. When she catches him, she blushes happily.
